Thanks for stopping and looking around. As you can see, I love drawing florals and using them in illustration and pattern design. What I love most about my work is the process itself. I fall into another world of color, shape, and imagination that is essential to my being. My creative mind inspires me to play with pieces of inspiration and see what happens. I never know what the end result will be.
I have a Masters Degree From the University of Maryland and a BFA from Wittenberg University where I majored in graphic design. After many years of work in the publications and graphic design industry, my interest in pattern design came as a surprise to me. I stumbled across amazing surface pattern designs on Instagram and took a robust class to learn the techniques. Over the past three years, my style has blossomed through immersion in the pattern design community and with new developments in digital design that have allowed my creativity to flourish.
I live in the high desert of Oregon and have cultivated a garden full of native flowers. Some of my favorites include Pussytoes, Oregon Sunshine, Witches' broom, Russian sage, Lavender, Foxglove, Penstemon, and Lupine. These inspired me to capture them in my work. I never draw the same flower twice unless a client requests a new version of a floral I've already created. There are still countless florals I wish to illustrate, and it will take me many years to bring them all to life!
My style has blossomed through participation in illustration challenges, exploring gardens, researching, and immersing in nature. Successful illustrations require a harmonious composition, a distinct style, captivating colors, and a dedication to creating abundant art.
It’s fun to hear from clients and those of you interested in my work.

This story was written to provide a book for children to remember they are loved even though they now must share a parents love.
